Today Residents celebrated Christmas In July, with all the usual trimmings!
Pork, turkey and roast veggies were accompanied by cauliflower, carrots and greens.
This was followed by a delicious freshly made plum pudding with custard, for dessert.
A special thank you to our wonderful Kitchen Staff Amanda, Julie and Sandy for preparing the Christmas meal.
And also a big thank you to our Environmental Services Staff for assisting with the Christmas Lunch event.

Last week, residents of the Independent Living Units helped celebrate socially-distanced birthdays for 2 of our residents in the Units.
As you all know, most people are doing it tough right now, often without access to visiting family and friends, so when an offer came from our Board to help residents feel a little bit less isolated during the Covid19 pandemic, it was a chance for our residents to catch up and catch the last of the Autumn sun together - socially distanced of course!
Individual cakes were provided by our generous Board Member to mark both the occasions, with other residents situated in their driveways, with streamers and much enthusiasm, to make the day that bit more special for the birthday boy and girl!

Observing ANZAC Day in the Independent Units - 2020Residents of Gorrinn Village's Independent Living Units observed ANZAC Day with a difference this year, in a socially-distanced way.
Each resident stood in the driveway outside their unit for the dawn service led by one of our Board Members who generously volunteered their time to help with the remembrance service. |
